Students will be taught in a workshop format that is based on assignments from the instructor. This class will help teens discover their creativity, individuality and unique style. Students will begin to work toward building an original body of work that can be used as a portfolio that will include paintings, drawings and mixed media art.

What will students learn in this Art Foundations program?

Students will learn fundamental drawing, painting, clay sculpting techniques and many creative crafts.

Every class, they will explore a variety of art media like Watercolors, Acrylics, Oil Pastels, Chalk, Color Pencils, Pen and ink, Clay, Collages and many more through age appropriate creative projects. Students will be taught the elements of art and various art techniques through fun projects which they will cherish forever. (eg: color theory, color blending, creating texture, light and shade, perspectives, etc.) 

Every season, they will be introduced to the works of great artists and art practices from around the world to enrich their knowledge on art history and inspire them to create their own masterpieces.
