Teen Artist is a year-round studio program designed for creative teens who are ready to strengthen their artistic skills while gaining meaningful real-world experience. Students develop technical abilities, explore a variety of materials and processes, and build confidence as independent artists in a welcoming, supportive studio environment.
Throughout the school year, students learn from Miss Kathy and Miss Sarah, two accomplished working artists with different specialties, teaching styles, and perspectives. By alternating instruction, they offer a well-rounded experience that combines technical skill-building with creative exploration.
Our teen program extends beyond weekly classes whenever possible, giving students opportunities to connect with the local arts community through experiences such as:
Possible exhibition opportunities at local coffee shops and community venues
Community art projects and pop-up events
Assisting with professional art installations
Internship opportunities at The Art Room
Portfolio development and guidance on presenting artwork professionally

When: Thursdays, 6:15–7:45 PM
Tuition: $245 per 10-week session
Structure: The program runs throughout the school year in Fall, Winter, and Spring 10-week sessions. Students are encouraged to continue throughout the year to build skills, confidence, and a strong body of work.
